Terms of Use
Effective date: October 22, 2026
Last updated: October 22, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of Augur (the “app”, “we”, “us”, “our”) on iOS, Android, and the web, including any purchase made in the app. By installing, accessing, or using Augur you agree to these Terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. About Augur
Augur is an independent, unofficial companion app for the tabletop wargame Warhammer: The Old World. It offers calculators, dice simulations, rules references, score tracking, and tournament results.
Augur is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Games Workshop Limited. Warhammer, Warhammer: The Old World, and all associated names, marks, and logos are trademarks of Games Workshop Limited, used here only to identify the game the app supports. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
3. Accounts
You sign in to Augur with Sign in with Apple or Google. You must be old enough to agree to these Terms in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for activity on your device and account, and for keeping access to your Apple or Google account secure. You can sign out or delete your account in the app at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
4. Your Licence to Use Augur
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Augur for your own non-commercial play, subject to these Terms and, where applicable, the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. The app, its design, and its code remain ours or our licensors'.
5. Season Pass
Augur is free to use. The Season Pass is an optional, voluntary purchase that supports the app's development and may unlock supporter features.
• It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It does not renew and you are not charged again.
• A Season Pass is valid until 23:59:59 UTC on 31 December of the year in its name (for example, “Season Pass 2026” is valid through 31 December 2026), regardless of when in that year you buy it.
• The price is shown in your local currency before you confirm, and payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. We never see your payment details.
• Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, under its refund policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any right to a refund or withdrawal you have under the consumer law of your country.
• You can restore a purchase on another device signed in to the same store account with “Restore purchases”.
• Which features a Season Pass covers may change over time. We will not remove access you have paid for during its validity period without a refund.
6. Rules Content and Calculations
Rules references, FAQ entries, and calculator results are provided for convenience and may contain mistakes or be out of date. Probabilities and simulations are estimates, not guarantees of any dice result. Augur is not an official source of rulings: the published rules, official errata, and your opponent or tournament organiser have the final say.
7. Third-Party Data and Services
Some content comes from third parties, including tournament data from platforms such as Best Coast Pairings, New Recruit, and the Old World Federation, and community rules resources such as tow.whfb.app and the community FAQ. We do not control that content, cannot guarantee that it is accurate or available, and are not responsible for third-party websites or services the app links to. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
8. Feedback
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve Augur without owing you anything. Please do not include anything you do not have the right to share, or personal information about other people.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: misuse or overload the app or the services behind it; scrape, copy, or redistribute its data at scale; reverse engineer it except where the law allows; try to bypass purchases or access controls; or use the app in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the services it relies on.
10. Availability and Changes
Augur is built and maintained by one person. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, or the app itself, at any time. We try to keep it available but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Augur is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or games, arising from your use of Augur. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
13. Termination
You can stop using Augur at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as 11, 12, and 14, continue to apply after termination.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
15. App Store Terms
15.1 Apple
If you downloaded Augur from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content. Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, and claims that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15.2 Google Play
If you downloaded Augur from Google Play, your purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, and Google is not responsible for the app.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where required by law, tell you in the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Continuing to use Augur after that means you accept the updated Terms.
